The
Ensemble Novalis unites temperament with variable expression and
individuality with a precise ensemble playing. Its members are experienced
and engaging musicians from different nations who are active on
international concertising sceneries.
The members have been trained in outstanding institutions such as
the Musikhochchule in Cologne and Detmold; Conservatories in Milano,
Moscow, and St. Petersburg; and the Indiana University School of
Music in Bloomington, U.S.A. Their chamber music coaches include
members of the Amadeus Quartet, Borodin Quartet, Orlando Quartet,
Tokyo Quartet, and the Bartok Quartet.
The repertory of the Ensemble Novalis covers a wide range of chamber
music literature from trio until octet. The flexibility in its formation
brings different tensions and liveliness into concerts and allows
the audience to hear unique programs which are less often performed.
Since its foundation in 2000, the Ensemble Novalis has been giving
numerous concerts which have been highly acclaimed both by audience
and critics. The ensemble is regularly invited to international
music festivals in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Russia,
Japan, and Korea.
